Blenheim crash Stockbridge Hants

This email below was recently forwarded to me because of my interest in all things relating to Hampshire aviation…..the only crash that I can find so far that possibly fits is …..

25-09-40 L8389 Blenheim I,cr Broughton ,nr Stockbridge, 2
killed.

Your comments welcome, particularly with regard to the fact that the crew might still be on board….here’s the email………

I was talking to my father the other night, he told me about an
aircraft which he thought was a Blenhiem crashing just after taking off
from an airfield just outside Stockbridge in Hampshire, he can remember
where it crashed into water meadow, it went in so cleanly it left the
shape of aircraft on surface of this boggy ground, to his knowledge the
plane or pilots were never recovered, are you aware of any crash sites
in the area, this could be a relatively good condition wreck, it was
thought at the time the bomber was loaded with bombs for a raid, after
take off the flaps stuck causing crash. I do not know how factual all
this is, but thought it should be mentioned to someone who would know
what to do with the information.
