Signed BoB first day cover

Sorting through some items to sell this evening, when I found this, a first day cover from 1981 commemorating the 41st Anniversary of the Battle of Britain.

The originals were flown in Hunter Mk9 XF 376 of 79 Sqn by Sqn Ldr D Holme and signed by him.

This has a few additional signatures as follow, from top to bottom :-

Oberst Hajo Hermann (Bomber pilot, though he is credited with 9 four engined victories. Awarded The Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross and its higher grade Oak Leaves and Swords).

Obstlt Hermann Hogeback (Bomber Pilot, 500 operational sorties. He was a recipient of the The Knight’s Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords).

General Adolf Galland (104 aerial victories and quite a few awards of various types).

Oberst (post war General) Johannes Steinhoff, (176 victories, awarded The Knight’s Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords).
