”Heroes at Highclere – Sunday 16th October 2011
I am involved in this event and thought that WLAC members might be interested. It is raising money for the British Legion and Help the Heroes and is taking place at Highclere Castle near Newbury. (of Downton Abbey fame). We are mounting a Moth flypast at 1130 and also in the flying display are the Blades, Spitfire, Vulcan and Balloons. Numerous ground attractions are performing in the arena including mass bands, Kings Troop, Chinook, Apache, Lynx, Warhorse Downton Abbey cast etc etc. I will be there in the Geoffry de Havilland marquee with one of the oldest SH60 Moths still flying courtesy of Nigel Read and BAE systems at Farnborough are bring some G de H memorabilia. Should be a good day. Log onto “Heroes at Highclere” website for details.

A good cause to support, and perhaps the final balmy weekend of the season.
