Trying to identify a "new" Halifax wreck

Hi all,

One of the ongoing projects we are working on at the moment. A few years ago an unknown wreck of a Halifax was discovered in the IJsselmeer. We have been trying to identify which one it is but there are several candidates.

Does anyone of you are planning to visit the National Archives at Kew soon?
If so, and if willing, we would like to have some information copied there.
Please send a pm if you are willing to help. Cost of copying will be re-imbursed of course.

Of course I will keep you all informed about the progress on this very interesting investigation.

Still there are many more out there…..

Cheers

Cees

Hi all,

Now that Christmas and the new year festivities are behind us (not to mention the many new year parties), things have returned to normal. At least for me:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Time to pick up investigations where we left them last year. This year would see more effort into the unknown Halifax II in the IJsselmeer.

If anyone is planning to visit the National Archives and is willing to find some information for us, please let me know.

I have info on four possible candidates available. Any costs would be reimbursed of course.

Let’s see if we can have this one identified before the year is out.

Cheers

Well, today I have started working again so all is getting better now.:)
Having a cracked vertebra and bruised ribs doesn’t help though. The car was a total loss, but it wasn’t my fault. Not that it helps much.

Regarding the visit to the National Archives, who is planning to go there?

Hi all,

Sorry for the delay, due to an unfortunate car-accident I am at home at the moment, and have no access to the possible Halifax candidates. Will sort that out soon. 😮

If DT627 NF-P is among your candidates I might be able to help without visiting Kew.

Do you know exactly what you want copying and have a reference?.My next door neighbour writes railway magazines and goes up to Kew quite alot for reference work.
