Dakota ID, help required please.

Have been talking with a gentleman who dropped over France on D-Day (Para Reg). He can recall that the aircraft he jumped from was called ‘Stormy Weather’, and had a Canadian crew.

Would anyone on the forum be able to point me in the right direction to find out more information on this aircraft please?
