i was going to say some sort of fuel filling neck? like the one on the side of a gazelle? looks similar although i can tell not of the same era

Could that first item be a merlin crankcase breather attachment from the rocker cover or is it too big?

It’s a 605 if the number in the crankcase casting is an indicator.
605.103-001.10 (I think..)
BTW: It is two of them, but unfortunatly they were both badly damaged before being buried….
