Fiat G91 for sale

Anyone fancy this Luftwaffe G91, it’s up for tender on the Vebeg site.

It’s not a sale by a prvate person. VEBEG is the seller of the German armed forces.

To get the right idea what VEBEG is, here is a link to their “About Us” page, in English of course:

What’s the rule on advertising? Oh, it’s probably for an ATC squadron or some charity!

As I have been purchasing Ex US and British Army kit from Vebeg for a number of years and seen the tender I thought it may be of interest to members of this forum who may not know of Vebeg, as they handle all German Forces items as well.
Sorry if my action has been misconstrued.

Have to say i agree.. would love to see a ‘For Sale/Swap’ thread on here, restricted solely to aeronautica. And to help stop people joining the forum just to advertise then maybe restrict usage only to those with say 100 posts or more!

Just a thought.

Totally agree – seems a very sensible suggestion, providing nobody asbuses it. So long as it’s aviation-related, it would seem a useful service and might save people some ebay fees.

Personally I’m not sure why there is sometimes such a negative gut reaction to “advertising” on the forum.

If a historic aircraft or part thereof is for sale, what better place for it to be discussed and for interested buyers and sellers to get into contact than a forum dedicated to this subject? As long as the seller’s interest is declared and false statements are not made (which would probably be picked up immediately anyway), what is the harm? It’s easy to circumvent the rules anyway by getting a friend to point to one’s “for sale” items on e-bay or anywhere else. The only people who may not benefit would be those who don’t collect and don’t want to wade through a lot of posts about stuff for sale. But then these posts could be collected on a special thread like the ebay one.

Just my personal view and I don’t wish to antagonise anyone.

Yes, Dave is right; personal advertising is frowned upon. This is merely a link to a website. No issue with it.

As i understand it, a poster may not advertise their own items. As ‘Trevorm’ is apparently in Northumberland, UK is it not safe to assume that the Fiat advertised on a German website is not actually his ?

And as it is not on eBay, does not qualify for inclusion in the ‘Seen on eBay’ thread, hence a seperate thread ?
