We are in the process of updating our acquisition list and a few interesting things have come to light.
The Museum our hangar is housed in was once WEE flight here in Edmonton and we had always know the first Vampire to come to Canada was tested here (and we know where it is and have been trying to acquire it for years)
But some recent documentation shows testing of the Meteor actually proceeded the Vampire and even more aircraft were used than with the Vamp.
Which leads to….
Are there Meteor single seaters (the F3) Preferred that are homeless or in danger of losing their home?

Shame it appears F3s are extinct.
This acquisition will become part of long term planning as research has shown its place in our history and eventually finding a representative of the species will be needed.
In this case hopefully time is on our side

There’s Meteor F4 VT229 at the Fantasy of Flight, Florida, USA; it was briefly on loan at Newark until October 1991.
The last enquiry I made indicated that it was in the storage facility just off the main airfield!

I think the earliest you might find are some F4’s in Argentina – no idea whether any are available mind!
I think the F3 is pretty much extinct.
