Cliff Robertson, RIP

Cliff Robertson, the Oscar-winning actor and longtime Spitfire and Tiger Moth (and per wiki, a Bf-108) owner has died at 88.

He starred in 633 Squadron and as a young John Kennedy in PT-109.

He recently was doing a column for an aviation publication. I recall that after finishing school he signed on as a seaman aboard a pacific steamer. He was in the Far East when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor…and made it back to the US by “the skin of his teeth”.
