Any offers on what the following might be?
It’s from V6742, a Mk1 Hurricane that crashed near Finchingfield in Essex on April 30th 1941. Sadly the valve and the panel (not instrument – a brass one, perhaps from a radio set, with “dial holes”, have both long since missing leaving me with just this memento. Having found it rusting on my mother’s dustbin lid, I’ve clobbered it with a treacle bath and would like to label it with what it is just in case anyone else tries the same stunt!
