Weather recce unit – 518 Sq. Tiree

Can anybody offer anything to help?

The BBC are making a programme (in the Coast series) which touches on the wartime work (particularly in the run up to D Day) of 518 Sqn RAF, a weather recce unit based at Tyree in the Hebrides.

If anyone knows anything about this unit and their work? They are up against a tight deadline.
