I remember seeing a collection of aircraft next to a lake, think one was a ‘Grosvenor House’ replica and some jets. Can anybody remind me what was there? Sure I’ve got some photos but can’t find them at the moment. Probably circa 1994. (or has senility finally taken hold? :))

Sounds like the Provost is WW442 that now resides at Gatwick Aviation Museum, the airframe came from a “Swan” pub in the Hemel area.

There was a red arrows gnat too, think the provost was originally in the beer garden of the swan just down the road in pimlico.

No, its not the same replica – the Galleria one was passed to the Mosquito Museum, and then to Sywell.

Comet replica is at Mosquito Museum. Sea Vixen is at Bruntingthorpe. Not sure what happened to the others off hand.

Trout lake Airforce i think the collection was called, when i visited they did indeed have a trailer loaded with a Grovenor House replica as well as having a Seahawk, piston Provost and a vixen i think. There were also a couple of 2 man ride on midget subs from WW2. The owner passed away and the collection was sold off…………where did they disperse to?………………..Martin
