Dakota over Washington, today. Know anything about it?

Anyone know what the Dak was doing over Washington Tyne & Wear? I heard a familiar noise and came out of my workshop to see the Dak heading North, probably over the A1 around Washington services. It flew out of view still heading North, but in a gentle left turn. A few minutes later, I heard the sound again, and it came back along the same path as before.

The aircraft was a silouette, but looked to be an Olive Drab or camo aircraft. I grabbed a quick picture the second pass, but only had my 18-55mm lens fitted. Couldn’t see anything on the BBMF timetable for their Dak.

Just had a thought. I bet they were circling to have a look/get photos of the ‘Angel of the North’. Their position where there were circling would put them around the Angels position.
