WANTED – Hurricane Undercarriage/Flap Control

I’m looking for the undercarriage/flap control from a Hawker Hurricane. It will be used in a static Hurricane. Also of interest is the propeller control for a Hurricane.

Thanks

Actually, I completely forgot – if you go on the Whirly site as per my signature, there’s some Hurricane woodwork that might be of interest to you.

If you’re interested in a tailwheel and tyre (sans tube), let me know.

Thanks for the background – sounds like an interesting project. WARNING Hurricanes are fiddly!

I’ll see what I can come up with next time I’m up at Gransden 🙂

Canadian-made Hurricane

Like more projects, mine started out as strictly as panel project for a Canadian-made Hurricane. The instrumentation is different for those Hurricane’s that remained in Canada and this fascinated me. The more I dug for information, the more I came across none panel parts. And thus my project took on a greater life.

To date, three wrecks have contributed to this project. Two from a mid-air collision over Quebec and one from a hard wheels up landing in Nova Scotia. From the three I have a partial cockpit and part of the reward fuselage. But much is still missing including the centre section, wings and tailplane.

I want to complete the cockpit first if I can and thus my search for undercarriage/flap control. I’m also looking for the propeller control. Any help with finding this items will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Hi

As an apparent ‘newbie’ – can you tell us more about your project? I am particularly interested, for reasons that might become clear if you look at my previous posts..

We might be able to help.

Cheers,

Matt
