Many years ago in the early 70,s before my father passed away we lived at Binbrook.
Someone gave him a parachute for some unknown reason which has been stored in my mothers shed ever since .
It says on its label it is a canopy type mk2 66ft segment type issued in 1965.
Can anyone id what aircraft this may have come from.
I have laid it out and apart from a couple of tears in 2 of the segments it is complete.
It is just a puzzle what it came off.
I always thought it was maybe a Lightning Brake chute as that was what was based there but dont have the part number of a brake parachute.
Hopefully somebody might be able to help me id this parachute after 30 odd years of storage please and put my mind at rest.
Many thanks in advance.
