Last week an American made mainwheel tyre was dumped on a Dutch Quay and has now found a new home with our museum. It looks to be either a B-17 or B-24 (we think more towards the latter) mainwheel tyre.
It is made by Firestone and has a type: Sky Champion and the reference number V 1900-23. It has several radial grooves as a thread.
Can anyone identify the type it was used on?
