It’s really a collection of essays rather than a single narrative, IIRC. Read it when it came out, and it was worthwhile IMHO. I lent it to a friend recently, who also enjoyed it.

battle of britain on screen
I’ve a copy and I’d say it’s worth a read. Covers film & t.v. ranging from Lion Has Wings to Peice of Cake and A Perfect Hero. A different slant on interpretation of the battle and particularly interesting to see how public opinion of the event changed over time and was reflected in film / t.v. and viewing figures.
