Gentlemen,
Hot on the heels of the very successful Jetstream thread where we manage to donate £100 to the RAFBF we’re now in need of your help yet again.
We need to track down some of the following items, or those that are very similar. In the style of Crime Watch, there’s a £100 reward for the RAFBF for leads resulting in their successful apprehension! If you own these items then please come forward. The offer of money and fame awaits..
🙂
The filming will take place within the next couple of weeks at Shuttleworth and Duxford, so we’ve likely seen all they have to offer.
OK here we go:
Item 1
Old style air bottle on a trolley used to inflate tyres. Should be c. 1930’s I guess.
Item 2
One of those old roller map feeders. Not sure if they were military or civilian in origin?
Item 3
Baggage Trolleys. Those caterpillar examples where one follows the other is ideal. I think they’re fairly timeless in design but something vintage (50’s / 60’s) would be great.
Item 4
A very early refueling cart. Something 1930’s.
Thanks guys, again we’ll really appreciate any help or advice!

Headsets
May be able to help with the headsets.
They are at least WW2, possibly older. I shall try and remember to have a look and take a pic this Sunday amidst all the prep going on at the mo for CockpitFest next weekend.
Those who know me please remind me to do so.
Anon.

Rolling map was Decca, the TANS version we had in RAF Pumas.

Ooops – forgot the headsets!
Item 5
Headsets through the ages. Not military. Our pilots will be seen flying Dragon Rapide, DC3, VC10. Anything that would have been seen on those flight decks. A matching pair please (obviously not the Rapide!).
Item 6 (possible)
If you own or know of any vintage airport vehicles that would flatter the above aircraft types then they’ll be very much of interest.
Thanks!
