Looking to my next project I was thinking of having a go at making a non airworthy rudder for an Sg-38 glider, I haven’t got any experience of working with wood other than model aircraft building and was wondering if anyone could recommend a good book that covers construction techniques, I found this EAA book that looks promising but perhaps difficult to get hold of:

are there any books available in the UK that would be useful to the novice?
Thanks

We have an EoN primary glider rudder laying around. It should be about the same as an SG38, as it is the british verson. Shuttleworths SG38 is an EoN Primary.

Hi Dave
Would it be possible to share some photos of it? I would be most appreciative. I’m thinking of travelling to shuttleworth when I get a free moment to take some detail photos. The plans and cad info I have is very detailed but you can never have enough info!

I understand the VGC was working on an English translation, nearing completion.
Thanks Eric that’s good news, I have managed to translate up to page 25 today in the mean time.
