I was avoiding doing what I should have been doing by looking for currently-registered Miles Geminis on G-INFO, and I found two that I hadn’t heard of!
G-AKDK was re-registered in the middle of April this year, having been permanently withdrawn from use in 1973.
The same owner also re-registered Gemini G-AKEN in January 2008.
I assume these are restorations, as the glued joints always seem to be an issue with Miles aircraft – anybody have more information?
Will be great to see another Gemini or two in the air – having flown in KKH a few times in the 1980s, I have a very soft spot for them!
