Remember the “Dakota Pair” during last years October air show at DXF?
We are going to do it again, just better during the Sally B and friends day at DXF 31 July 2011.
Hope to see you there!

A few pix from a wonderfully relaxed day full of atmosphere …..
The control tower was kept safe by the Home Guard

Chief Engineer Peter Brown talks to Ken Ellis about the challenge of keeping a B-17 airworthy

With a good crowd listening attentively

Ely Sallingboe had a few words to say too

And let’s not forget the star of the show

Yesterday Sally B rehearsed together with the Twisters (her very little friends) the final sequence for the Sally B and friends day at Duxford on Sunday 31 July.
Due to the big differences in aircraft size and speeds a rehearsal was called for. The formation practice went very well and was a sight never seen before

Hope to see you on this day.

No technical snags at all!
A fantastic plane and clearly well maintained to boot then?
A credit to all involved.

Good news to hear she is in the air for the first time this year. I must check the website for her commitments this summer – apart from Dx ones, of course!:)

Sally B and Friends day
Some more information about the Sally B and Friends day was put online yesterday. See Sally B and friends day. Sally B supporters club members have free access on this day!
The flying programme is coming along and there should be some unique photo opportunities that should not be missed.
See you there.
