Liberator KL654 – What's Going On Here??

I had not heard of this campaign to recover the crew of KL654 from Malaysia until recently. But I just heard that the two primary campaigners, Joe Bamford & Arthur Lane (a surviving POW from the Burma railroad no less), were recently arrested and are facing possible criminal charges! Does anyone from the Yorkshire area know what this is all about? I hear that the arrests have been reported in the local media.
