P-51D Restoration Volunteers – Cambridgeshire

The Bottisham Airfield Museum Group is looking for volunteers to help fabricate/restore its P-51D project.

We have a fibreglass replica of the fuselage from the bulkhead to aft of the canopy and we hope to fit it out with all its internal fittings and make it into our display centre piece.

Before we can fit it out we need to fabricate the internal structure.

We have now collected a substantial amount of original P-51 items and need to move forward with the project but are short of volunteers.

This would ideally suit perhaps a volunteer from Duxford, someone from Marshalls or perhaps a handy metalworker or woodworker.

All help very much appreciated even if its only a few hours a month.

For more information please call Jason Webb on 07791 971 799 or email jasonwebb361@btinternet.com

Cheers
