Missing Sea Turbulent

Hi
I owned and rebuilt the sea turbulent and sold it in a car auction in London some years ago, The man who purchased it owned a whorehouse in London and a house on the Norfolk broads, I have asked the auction hose for his details but they had a fire and the records are lost, i have also asked CAA registration but it is still in my name? Any info would be appreciated

Hi
I sold it in 1996 at a London classic car auction, but since then the business had a fire and the paperwork is lost, i have tried before to find it but no luck, i do think it is still in storage lets hope someone knows.

I presume payment was made through the auction house? how long ago did you sell it?

Sea Turbulent

Perhaps its components have been used in a re-build of a normal model. It really needed bigger (longer) floats as a sea-plane but then also needed more power to cope with weight/drag.
It was on my list to try out when at Rye, but very rarely serviceable between several dunkings !!!!
The Sea-Tiger however was great fun.

The Tiger Club website mentions on the seaplane section page that it is believed stored in Suffolk. Other web sources say Norfolk. Can the LAA help?

I’ve often wondered where this Turbulent went. The first time I saw the aircraft it was at Rye stored in a garage car repair business following a dunking near by. I then saw it again post-restoration at Swanton Morley and Great Massingham in the mid-90’s and remember it as being one of the nicest examples of the type I’d seen.

Good luck with the search, be interesting to see if it turns up!

Hi Thanks for the info, but as you can see there is no new owner, it could be locked away on the broads somewhere, Who knows? Any info appreciated.

Maybe it’s the owner who is locked away for his London activities :dev2:
