Have to agree. These American/Canadian documentary style programmes always like to hype up the drama a bit too much for my liking.
Still, I take it for what it is and it’s good to watch the old airplanes still doing what they’re designed for after all this time.

Notice the nice backfire through the intake on start up of the Commando when the two were up delivering supplies.

Ran fine up here in Scotland, I was also a bit frustrated at the hype and editing to make it look more dramatic. No mention on the approach to the potentially cloud shrouded destination that the crew had to fly with enough diversion fuel to fly to an alternate. The fact that Buffalo allow the cameras inside shows how confident they are regarding sticking to regulations.

Ok here, looked at the flickering fire warning and said, that’s an electrical short lol…………… bet the crew knew it too, show just hyped it up.

I don’t know about anybody else but I hot a very poor reception this evening on Quest – the digital signal kept breaking up! Unfortunately it spoilt my enjoyment quite a bit!

:dev2: You’ll be upgrading the old Cats Whisker next then…. 😀
my Dad designed and built their first TV himself using an ex RAF 3″ diameter radar display cathode ray tube – picture apparently wasn’t so much black and white as dark green and white….
I guess that’s what they had to do in those immediate post-war years when consumer products weren’t as readily available (or affordable)

I’m not a technophobe.
I am seriously considering buying one of the new-fangled TVs. The sort where the pictures are in colour.
I’ll think I’ll wait to see if it catches on first though.
