Can someone confirm if this is a C-47, the top photo I came across on the internet looking at Nose Art, it looked familiar too me, I checked my Dad’s pics from WWII, on the island of Biak and sure enough, same plane. Looking closely I even see the same paint damage mark close to the extended right foot of the Nose Art. 😎

You are correct, it is a C-47.
