I invited the University chap mentioned in the article to join this forum. I have always found enthusiasts here to be very helpful and compared to my old days down at PRO and AHB it saves a lot of duplicate effort.
He states that recovered items will go to museums so here and BAPC is a good place to talk about what is available.

I noted the photo “An oxygen bottle was among the items recovered from the site of a crashed Mosquito” – Confess I made that mistake myself when I found one of these many years ago – I now know it is actually the CO2 bottle for inflating the dinghy.

I have a cracking Whitley site begging for a proper excavation in Scotland. Wonder if they’d be interested?
