Lovely shots of what looks like a great museum, agree with above comment about light and airy nature of the place.
Thanks for sharing.

The FW190 has been restored to flight status but will never be flown due to it’s rarity. I think that’s what the information board said.
Yeas ago when I attended graduate school in Phoenix, I did a school project on Champlin’s museum. I had a chance to interview him and he told me the exact same thing.
Even a man with his deep pockets was repectful of the rarity and value of the airplane. And he was no stranger to risking expensive “toys”..he used to fund a race team for the Indianapolis 500 race.
The plane was kept airworthy and the engine was often ground run.
Once I went to the museum and it was in the immaculate workshop, cowls off, being tended to.

I hear their FW190A is being shipped there this week. I understand that one will be flown.
It already has!

Almost got me with that one… or maybe it’s the 88mm superimposed behind:)

It was so rare that it became the first aeroplane to fly backwards when it was fired. Definitely not for the faint hearted 😀

Nice pics, thanks for sharing. It looks a great place to visit and very light….British Museums to note:diablo:
Judging from the scorching of the undercarriage doors on the P-47 I assume it’s not running its turbosupercharger?
Is that the ex Doug Champlin Fw190D? If, so is the intention to fly it?
