There are a good deal of warbird owners around the world that are businessmen that don’t fly the aircraft themselves, but allow qualified individuals to fly them regularly – so as said, we will see if that holds true here as well. One of the members/heirs of the Walton family (Walmart fortune) here in the US, over the past few years, has purchased a Spitfire (SM969), two Mustangs, the F2G “Race 57”, a Tigercat and a Storch, and I know that at least some of these continue to be flown with various pilots. Heirs of the Hearst family have the former Howard Hughes B-25C currently under ground-up restoration at Ezell Aviation to eventually fly again (keeping the executive configuration).
