Hi I am seeking advice as to the value of a Fairey Swordfish control grip.

I would interpret the badge as Aircraft Mechanic(Airframes) as indicated by the two blade prop. A Fitter would have the four blades.

The medal ribbon is the 1939-45 Star.

According to the link here your father could have been an airframe fitter. He appears to have a medal ribbon on his left breast as well.
