Argoy on the fire dump 1977. This was later painted in ‘desert’ colours and surrounded by fake palm trees for use in a James Bond film. Out of shot to the right is a blister hangar where Bf109 Black 6 was being worked on. The Spitfire, TE478, was the gate guardian on the south side of the airfield, photo taken just after a repaint late ’77 or early ’78.
