Strange question.

Saw this in the editorial of an old Flying Review (June 62) Must be a simple, obvious answer…? :confused:

“Reader X wrote to me the other day with a ticklish problem. he had just built the Revell model of a B-52 which was to 1/185th scale. He wanted his model to be to a true scale weight so he divided the maximum all-up weight of a B-52 -some 450,000lbs- by 185. He was a little staggered at the answer which came out to more than 2,000lbs. How, asked Reader X, could he make his 12 inch span model weigh well over one ton? And was this the real scale weight?”
