LX-DKT which stood derelict at Ostend had been moved to Melsbroek barracks and will be restored as a static exhibition.
I haven’t found nothing to the service in Italy except for the info in the current edition of DC-3.
Would appreciate to learn any info regarding her wartime career.

It was delivered to the US Army Air Force on 15 Sept 1943 being assigned to Oran,North Africa just one month later. No date is given for further assignments to the US 12th Air Force and it became surplus to requirements on 01 Apr 1946. On 02 August 1949 it was registered to SGACC as F-BEIG.

24391 (c/n 10253) became F-BEIG. Sold Oct 9, 1989 to SABENA Old Timers, a Belgian preservation group.
Probably old knowledge for you. 🙂
