Hello
As a part for one of our future projects I have started to read and select all the information related with the Westland Lysander that we have-
It will be an interesting series for sure.
I have made some question in this Forum in the Past with very good replies. The latest ones were related with the Hawker Hurricane and we ended building 109 Hurricane in 1/72 scale. (http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=31047&pid=343530&mode=threaded&start=0#entry343530
)
I wonder if some of you could help me with some doubts that I have as regard the K6127 “P.12 Delanne” Lysander.
My first source is the very good book “Lysander from Mushroom Publication series”, plus the Warpaint, 4+ publication and a couple of magazines.
There are many photos of this aircraft (at least 8) but in two of them I can see the Yellow P as Prototype.
My questions is, Was the aircraft painted in Yellow (undersurfaces of the wing, fuselage and tailplanes) by the moment she carried the P marking?.
Is it correct that the upper surfaces were painted in Dark Earth and Dark Green? Am I right?
I will appreciate your comment / advices on this matter. I am sure that I will ask you for help again as regard the Westland Lysander in the following weeks.
Many thank in advance
Kind regards
Santiago
