For Wirraway and Boomerang fans

Hi all,
while I’ve been doing research for my drawings of the Wirraway and Boomerang, I’ve collected a bunch of interesting information (well, I think its interesting, anyway).

I’ve decided to load some of it to my website, so others can enjoy (?!?) this esoteric technical stuff…

Click here for the Wirraway stuff

and click here for the Boomerang stuff

Feel free to let me know what you think, I’ll be adding more stuff whenever I get the time…

Just added some more information to the Wirraway page, a list of surviving aircraft. I’m sure it’s not complete, so let me know if you can make any additions.

It would also be good to get a photo of each surviving aircraft for this page (with the permission of the photographer) so let me know if you can pass on any photos which I can use.

Wirraway

The picture below may be of interest to you Wirraway fans. It depicts Wirraway A20-10, the eighth production and oldest surviving Wirraway. The photo was taken by mr. Terry Ellis of the Moorabbin Air Museum in April 1971 just prior to the Royal Australian Air Force’s Golden Jubilee airshow at RAAF Base Laverton. A20-10 belonged to the Moorabbin Air Museum and still does. It can be seen on display at Moorabbin to this day.

Thanks for these DB.

I’ve bookmarked them and had a quick read. Having seen both types at Avalon recently it was interesting to read what you have on the types.
