55 Squadron Tanker Patch

Thanks to XH648 I now have the above patch set 😀 sorry to still be on the scrounge but I know 2/3 others of our team would like the black and yellow 55 patch. So if anyone still has any spare…?

Sadly not a book I have on my shelf Barrie. I’ll keep an eye out for it next weekend though. That said, is a badge that’s been flown in ‘191 a jinx, and therefore best not taken anywhere near our ‘231?! 😮
I like the sound of ‘recycling’ the Swordfish light though! Like the Lanc starter button in my MG…

I have a 55 Sq. cloth patch that was flown on Victor XL191 to Shearwater Naval Air Station in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada for the 1985 airshow.
Will trade for the book Achtung! Swordfish! I have a piece of fabric, map light and other bits from one of the Swordfish that were maintained here in WW II for the Merchant Aircraft Carriers and figure it is time I got the book on 836 Squadron. I plan to use the map light as a chart light on my sailboat but have not got around to hooking (Pun intended.) it up yet.

I may have one (or two!) – My parents own terrane limited and I’m sure I kept a couple of them when they first came out. I only have a hand full of badges but I’m sure I kept one of the 55sqn ones because it was one of the few patches they made with a Victor on it!

Sven would know better than me about the costs, he organised the batch of Lindy patches we had made up recently (which we’re down to the last few of now!). I may have to part with some folding for one of those pics…! 🙂

How big an order would have to be put in before they would make a batch up?
might be worth getting some to sell to visitors to raise a few green backs 🙂

Cheers Lighty, I emailed them about that particular patch design, and sadly the response was negative. Hey ho 🙁 and that caricature does look good 😀

Hey Blue 2, try the terrane limited site, they have that design as a sticker really cheap and 55 sqn patches as well, also check out caricature aircraft pictures site, they have a great Victor print you mihght be interested in.

Not enough to have a batch made up I doubt, I’d very much like one for myself and I think 3 others including Sven would like one if possible. Robert cheers, I’ll have a trawl through that website tomorrow when I strike up the laptop again 🙂
