I don ´t think, that the D-CDLH has the same corrosion problems as the Swiss Ju ´s. There was a major repair two years ago at exactly the area, which was found damaged within the wreckage of the HB-HOT. I think after the accident the High Heads of Lufthansa found out, that an old aircraft is bearing a big risk of having accidents and damaging the name of a company. Also the Superstar desaster will have led to this decision. However, they kept her flying for more than thirty years. I don ´t know any existing airline, which spent such an enormous amount of money and manpower in their historic fleet for such a long time. Thank you LH, for giving us the chance to see this aircraft for such a long time over her home country.
