Shouldn’t it be removed from ebay for the same reason as the Harrier, it is after all a weapon delivery platform

Define that, the tractor pulling it would be…………….

A VC10 would be too, as it was used to replenish overseas stocks………… and I won’t mention the Loadmaster who appeared in a cockpit one day with a handfull of safety pins from a cargo of cluster bombs asking where to put them, as they said remove before flight, and that is what they had done!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😀

Least I now know that having carried a musket in the RAF as a “weapon delivery platform” I cannot be ebayed by a slave trader :p

I think someone is trying to pull a fast one, it’s a post-war chassis that was used for various ground equipment types from generators to small towed fuel bowsers.
Sme are still in use where I work!
Good for putting a cockpit on when restored though.

In that case perhaps you could enlighten us all as to what it is!

Well the truth is I don’t really know but it does look very much like a chassis for a Mk.3 or Mk.4 Electrical Servicing Trolley. A WW2 RAF bomb trolley it ain’t.

Similar to the bowser chassis but much shorter wheelbase from the photos?
Would be rather unstable if it was……

I have no clue what it’s origin is, but the above was obvious to me..

looking at this model site

http://www.small-wonder.org/Projects_Ground_Equipment.htm

it looks very much like the chassis
off the RAF bowser
