Spitfire 10K Challenge

I hope this is not considered a blatent plug & I appologise if it comes across as such. It is the first time I have seen their website, so I’ve nothing to gain but I want to clear it with a moderator before I give the web details.

I know a few of you myself included, would love the opportunity to fly in a Spitfire & this may have been brought up before, but a company who broker pleasure flights are trying to raise support for clearing the twin seat Spitfire to be licenced to undertake pleasure flights in the UK.

They are after 10,000 supporters- hence the name above, so can a moderator please let me know if it is OK a.s.a.p.

Thank you, Rad 🙂

I first thought the 10K referred to the cost of a flight :diablo:

Roger Smith.

It might not be to far off, still I’d pay it if I had the money:D:D

Bruce-thank you for the quick reply, the website is the Flights4all site, look at the vintage flight column on the left of the home page, then click on Spitfire- it gives details for the Spitfire 10K challenge.

It may come to nought, but if at least this gives a window of opportunity to persuade the powers that be that there are many who’d love the chance to fly in a Spitfire, and may be open doors to fly other twin/multi seat warbirds.

I see no issues in posting this, but getting a Spitfire licensed to give passenger flights will be fraught with difficulty I would have thought.

Still, hopefully no harm can come from it!

Bruce
