Fokker DII 'The Blue Max'

Hello,
Can anyone please tell me who built the Fokker DVII’s for the film ‘The Blue Max’? Were they powered by gipsy queens?
What happened to the aircraft after the film? Do they still exist?

They were built in France, will have to look up the name of the company that built them. Ended up in Texas, then one went to California (where I got to fly it a few times) and from there on to Peter Jackson’s collection in New Zealand. The other ended up at the Southern Museum of Flight in Birmingham, Alabama. Photos of both here:
