The Bottisham Airfield Museum Group in Cambridgeshire is in need of additonal volunteers and some restoration help.
We are a small group based in Bottisham, Cambridgeshire dedicated to setting up a small museum. We have temporary premises in an old airfield building and have already held a couple of successful events.
We are now looking to expand the group further with additional members & volunteers.
We are currently restoring an original USAAF link trainer and are fabricating a P-51D Mustang cockpit section. So far we have many of the internal fittings for the P-51D cockpit & a canopy and are looking to fabricate the ‘tub’.
We plan to open the museum from April to September and run a program of events.
Anyone interested in joining in an active or non-active capacity can become a member for a minumum donation of £10. Membership includes free or discounted entry to events and regular newsletters.
We are also looking for additional items for display and if anyone has any items to loan or to donate to us it would be very much appreciated.
