They visited us once in Beauvechain. Awesome to see them fly. Still have a pic of me in G-VETA and a start cartridge 🙂 Shame they are not around anymore!

They all moved to Ireland, and are stored, dismantled, outside.

Chances of them ever flying again are nil, squared.

It does seem odd that a/c thrilling us 18 months ago would be used for spares! Any news on the Venoms?

It will be ironic if XE601 is in pieces as I recall many voices saying that the best way to preserve her was back in the air!

WV372 (G-BXFI) is now owned by Graham Peacock and operates from North Weald. Out of all the ex-Team Viper Hunters it’s WV372 that’s still most commonly seen on the circuit.

WV322 (G-BZSE) is also at North Weald and I believe the plan is to restore it to airworthy condition.

XE601 (G-ETPS) was sold to Apache Aviation and went off to France. I’d heard that the aircraft is now in pieces providing spares for the rest of their fleet, but haven’t seen anything to back this up.

XE685 (G-GAII) was sold to Hawker Hunter Aviation and is currently as Scampton, providing spares for the rest of their fleet.

XL573 (G-BVGH) is also airworthy and lives down at St Athan.
