Some fascinating detail to be seen. Note the overspray on the undercarriage from the newly applied colour underneath the aeroplane, to replace the previous black scheme. Its a slightly odd shade so one wonders if the paint was locally sourced ?

Long shot,
Have 27 Sqn got copies of these photos? The Sqn is celebrating it’s 100th anniversary next year and if they haven’t got them these would be wonderful for any display they put on. Would you mind if I copied the link to their FB page? As 27 was my first Sqn I always have an affection for it….
