Firstly i must apologise for getting back late as i have been a little busy since my post, but now im back on the keyboard.

I have to say that is a very detailed reply and must thank you for your time and effort, it covers in good detail both aircraft and crew and some good advice that i can at some point pursue other avenues for future research, if you dont mind i will add this reply to my folder of information regarding Blenheim R2771 and its crew, like you i would sway towards this aircraft not being a Mk1VF as also browsing through the book “The Bristol Blenheim a complete history” by Graham Warner it also states that this aircraft was a part of Coastal Command.

Oh and thank you for pointing out the correct spelling of Thanet you wouldnt think i lived just a few miles from there would you 🙂 Corrected
