Hello all,
I was wondering if any member has any photographs of 79 squadron Hurricanes whilst they were in India / Burma between 1942 and 1943?
I have an ongoing research project and it appears that there are very few photographs of this squadron in existance.
On another note, is there a definative book on the Hurricane which includes loss data for specific aircraft?

What period was your Father with 79?

79Sqn in Burma
My father was a serving pilot with 79Sqn in Burma but had no photos of his time there. He has now passed away but I remember asking him why. The accommodation at Cox’s Bazaar was spartan to say the least so none of the pilots had much in the way of personal belongings and certainly no cameras so no photos.
