Metal Aerial Mast on Spitfire

One For all you Spitfire guys a little problem I have come accross re the aerial in the past i have been fortunate enough to get complete masts or replica one.BUT….

I am in th emiddle of the refurb for the mk!! and the aerial mast ,I have the paxolin mast stub but only scant remains of the light metal sheath that actualy forms the mast.

Has anyone got the drawing number for the metal part of the mast from bottom to top so we can reproduce one or does anyone have the drawing in a transmittable format they can mail me ?.

If I can help anyone out in return for drawings please let me know.

Mike

I am depicting one of the very early mk1’s L1019 which was fitted with the early rod type of aerial. The photos of the mk1 at Cosford have been a help. I really need to make another visit there.

Thanks for the leads much appreciated. If anyone can do without a metal one for a static display aircraft GB Replicas do a very good all resin example mkV onwards not very expensive that you would not know the difference from 10 feet away.unfortunately we need a metal one this time.

Thanks again most informative details added to our reference files.

I wonder if anyone has similar information about the aerial mast on Mk1 aircraft?

Ours is on a mk 2 are they not similar ?.What radio set have you got in line for it ?. The mk2 has an 1133 like a lot of other aircraft and seems to be using a fairly standard mast but I may be wrong but they look similar.
