First Bimble of the new year and as it looks as though I’ll be job hunting in the real world soon, I don’t think I’ll be able to visit as many times as I did in the past but I’ll do my best. Hangar 4 is closed and the Bristol Fighter from there is in temporary residence in Hangar 5 while the fire alarm work continues. The Gannet and Sea King from Hangar 3 are still in Airspace but there are two Spitfires to take their place. AR213 is in the HAC parking area and MJ627 is having wing fuel tanks fitted by OFMC. Along with the ARCO T9 in Hangar 2, there is another T9 with engine cowlings off but I couldn’t see which one it was. With the rain and clouds and the lights off in the hangars it was a bit difficult, photography wise, to get some decent hand held shots with low ISO numbers. I went high with my monopod and ground level for the weird angles, mainly in Airspace as the lights were on in there.

Any chance of correcting the Dark Earth while 213 is there roobs?:)
If you select “greyscale” or “sepia” it looks much better. However you could always view through rose tinted spectacles for a period feel… 😀

I have no idea on the P-40 or Hawk. A pilot was lined up to get the P-40 flying last year but then we had a bit of bad weather in the mean time. Going on past restorations, I should imagine that it would be several more months yet before the XIX is out in the sunshine again.
Ther is a brief update about the P-40 on the TFC Blog

Fantastic images!
Once again, new and original viewpoints on familiar aircraft – very refreshing!
