Hello EN830, The Lancaster was LM672 HW:V diverted to Rattlesden on 18 Nov. 44. There was a thread on the forum recently about it . This aircraft spent its life on No.100 Sqdn and was Struck off Charge 10 Jul 1945.
B-17G 297936 was with the 708BS coded Y on charge 28/6/44 transferred to Italy 29/5/45 and salvaged Italy 14/1/46.

Be also interesting to know the fate of the 100 Sqn Lancaster HW-V, could make out 72 of the serial number.

Thanks for posting. That is truly amazing. Pity though that it has been ‘stretched’ to wide screen. The Tchaikovsky’s a bit ‘busy’, some Gorecki might have been better. Minor complaints aside, it’s still brilliant!

😀 Thanks for posting that ,i found it fascinating.Any ideas on who and how it was taken,i guess it slipped through the censors.
It is the little things that bring in the human factor,the dog,people putting on their kit or larking around [with firearms :eek:],walking around in mud.
