I have found this a/c under a house ( where it has been for many years ). The wings are hanging in the roof. The owner says the engine is a Gypsy Major 1. I have photos, but, don’t know how to attach them. My question is :- Is it worth restoring/saving ? Needs complete restoration, at what cost ?

VH-BOJ ( 2 ).
🙁 Sorry about the address, should read :- www.edcoatescollection.com/ac1/austb/VH-BOJ.html It is still in the same colours. I think there is also a spare glazing too. In a sorry state though. See if I can send photos. What does a good one command in Aust.$’s from this era please. Thanks for your replies. 😉

The aircraft was originally G-AGXD, c/n 1894 and is now wearing its third Oz registration. It was withdrawn from use in 1974.

That’s the rub the cost of sorting it all out is likely to be well in excess of its value to a prospective buyer. But is it worth restoring? Yes of course it is. At least you would have the satisfaction of knowing that you were responsible for turning it from a collection of parts into an aircraft.
