Just recently coming across some ads mentioning floats for the Percival Prince
“Percival Prince on skis and floats”
http://www.flightglobal.com/pdfarchive/view/1948/1948%20-%201580.html
“designed for use with floats”
http://www.flightglobal.com/pdfarchive/view/1947/1947%20-%200501.html?search=floats
“designed for operation on floats”
http://www.flightglobal.com/pdfarchive/view/1947/1947%20-%201872.html?search=floats
Also in an old EDO brochure, EDO 51-10100 floats for the Percival Prince.
Can’t find any photos…
True or a saga?

It seems Edo would make floats for almost anything…scroll down a bit

Thanks, I know that really great source for EDO related photos.

I think it was normal practice for the time, I am sure the Portsmouth Aerocar was also shown in advertising on wheels, floats and skis.
You’re right!

Proposed EDO floats for the Percival Prince
10100 lbs water displacement (single float)
compared with
29400 lbs water displacement (single float)
EDO floats for the C-47
😎
Eek!!!
Ok, huge in comparison to a Prince then 🙂

There was a mass of proposed variants that, as far as I know, never got off the design board.
I have seen a GA drawing of this configuration and the floats are HUGE!
In the same pile of drawings there was also a GA of a jet powered version!!

Well, apparently such a project was assigned a Percival project designation: P71- Prince float
But, that’s all I can find.
